TiM v COVID-19
TiM is staying healthy, so productions and their crews can too.
Obviously this is a challenging time for everyone, and production has been pretty hard hit. Our thoughts are with those who have been struck with this disease or have a loved one they’re caring for, as well as the many who are temporarily out of work as a result of the pandemic.
We know your inbox is inundated with messages about COVID-19 preparedness from all your fave vendors... but we still want to chime in and let you know we're doing everything we can to keep you up and running too.
A couple things we’ve done to keep TiM off the quarantine list.
We've taken the CDC’s guidelines a step further by having the entire TiM team work remotely. We know, it's not the most earth-shattering news to you – just doing our part to help prevent the spread of COVID-19 and keep our staff safe, ya know?
More importantly, for you: we have fully automated the day-to-day operations of the platform – so TiM will keep going strong, even if any number of team members are out of commission. This is one bug software can’t catch!
Go digital to minimize risk and disruption to your teams.
Across the industry, productions are shutting down to help prevent the spread of COVID-19. Yours may be doing the same.
But that doesn't mean people don’t need to complete outstanding start paperwork or won’t continue to work remotely. A digital solution allows you and your hiring managers to send out that startwork from wherever you're sheltering-in-place these days.
TiM also gives producers and accountants a single place to keep an eye on and approve things as deals and packets continue to go out digitally. Plus, this means that your team doesn't have to be face-mask-to-face-mask to keep the payroll train rolling. W00t!
Going digital means no paperwork trading filthy hands and, while the CDC suggests contaminated surfaces are not the main method of transmission, cutting out the handoffs can certainly help keep things hygienic in any environment, post-apocalyptic or otherwise.
A secondary way to reduce paper (and germs) changing hands is to encourage direct deposit or freelancer ACH. Different payroll companies have different policies, but they'd be just as happy not to have their employees printing paychecks right now.
A digital solution (ahem) will allow you to provide ACH/DD forms directly in your packets and allow crew to securely attach an image of their voided check (if needed) directly to their packet. Easy peasy, no diseasey.
You're already dealing with enough COVID-19 tumult (and vendor reassurances) without having to be worried about best antiviral practices around start paperwork. A digital system/workflow allows you to push that management off onto the system, freeing up you and your team to focus on the bigger challenges at hand.
